Elbows Up Canada!
I have always been a proud Canadian.
At times, that pride swells up a bit more than usual.
When I'm watching the Olympics. When I travel across our home on native land. When we accidentally find ourselves pushed up onto the podium of the world stage.
And so, right now, I think the abundance of openly vocal ownership of our citizenship is really quite an exciting thing to see.
So many of us are going out of our way to show off the strength that usually lies quietly under the surface of our good manners and friendly demeanour. Whether you're flying a flag, adding a bumper sticker, or wearing a toque, you're stating loud and clear that you are standing with Canada.
I've been doodling as I'm creating new greeting cards. And many of those doodles are leaning toward the red and white with a great big old maple leaf in the middle. And as the proud Canadian I am, I need to share them.
My first design is out on t-shirts, mugs, and tote bags. If this is a design that grabs your heartstrings, head on over to the shop and check out the merch.
I've just received my first tee and mug. (My son, Ben, volunteered to model for me!) The hoodie's on the way. And there's more of this design and others in the works. Check back - or subscribe to keep in touch.
Drop me a comment and let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you. Unless you're one of those odd anti-Canadian folk. I have no time for you.
Alex the Canuck.
